Overview
Deutsche Bank New York Branch is seeking a Trade Advisory & Services Officer in New York, NY to provide advisory services for our clients on Trade Finance instruments. Among other services, in this role, you will provide technical assistance to account officers, corporate clients, correspondent banks and Deutsche Bank branches in dealing with the intricacies of traditional trade products. These products include standby letters of credit, documentary letters of credit & documentary collections as well as Supply Chain Finance (SCF).

What You'll Do
- Provide technical assistance to account officers, corporate clients, correspondent banks and Deutsche Bank branches in dealing with the intricacies of traditional trade products (standby letters of credit, documentary letters of credit & documentary collections as well as SCF
- Written and verbal communications with internal and external customers associated with the resolution of technical letter of credit construction, SCF and other associated processes
- Timely resolution of inquiries received from internal and external clients and escalating any potential problems or seeking clarification as appropriate
- Ensure that all transactions are completed within the set time frames/deadlines established by management
Skills You'll Need
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent
- Extensive, relevant, and progressively responsible experience reviewing technical guarantee and Standby Letter of Credit (for back-to-back guarantee issuance) language for compliance with International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) publications, local requirements, and key operating procedures
- Extensive, relevant and progressively responsible experience and expertise on document negotiation for Export Letters of Credit and relevant traditional trade products, including Import and Export collections, ensuring transaction processing is in accordance with key operating procedures, local regulator's requirements and the ICC guidelines; coordinating and performing transaction monitoring due diligence requirements for Trade Finance (TF) products; mitigating financial crime risks and ensuring appropriate level of Anti-Money Laundering / Anti-Financial Crime monitoring is in place by capturing, checking, and monitoring all parties, countries, ports, and vessels involved, following up on clients activities, and escalating any unusual transaction as necessary; and applying knowledge of TF products and processes to review existing handling procedures of TF products in accordance with key operating procedures, ICC standards, and regulator's requirements

- Able to communicate fluently, written and verbal, in English language. German and Spanish language is a plus

Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York City office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $80K to $130K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
