About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented Technical Proposal Writer to join our team and serve as a key contributor on our Global Proposal Team to support the development of proposals and business development materials. The Technical Proposal Writer position operates in a hybrid role, leveraging their strengths in proposal management and coordination as well as content development and strategy.

Our ideal candidate will have a blend of excellent business writing and project management skills, comfort in cloud security, and the ability to understand the complexity of our market and customer needs.

The primary function of the Proposal Technical Writer is to curate, grow, and update our library of existing content in RFPIO, our central repository of approved and constantly updated content and used across all internal and external documents and presentations to build scale in content generation

What You'll Do:
  • Take full ownership of ensuring content library remains current
  • Interview SMEs to extract highly technical information and convert into effective proposal content
  • Research and gather information from various sources to improve and update content library by conducting interviews, attending meetings, and gathering source information
  • Contribute to the technical sections of proposals - creating winning and compliant proposal responses
  • When needed, manage the entire response effort from cradle to grave
  • Edit proposal content for effectiveness (e.g., clarity, readability, accuracy, persuasiveness, and compliance) as well as style (e.g., grammar, punctuation, word usage, sentence structure, and spelling).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop proposal sections that clearly articulate the team's overall solution, strategy, and approach to performing the work, win themes, and discriminators.
  • Present RFP Process and use of RFPIO to various departments
  • Assist with other projects as needed.
What You'll Need:
  • 3+ year technical writing experience with ability to make complex technical subjects easy to comprehend.
  • Must have the ability to quickly digest information and produce organized, clearly written content
  • 3+ year managing multiple proposals from cradle to grave
  • Superior time management skills and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects with overlapping or competing timeframes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Proposal Automation Software such as RFPIO
  • Strong project leadership and project management capabilities
  • Strong research skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and relationships, and the ability to collaborate with a broad and diverse population of internal and external team members
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive and continuously deliver in a constantly changing, fast paced and team-oriented sales environment
  • Proven critical thinking and effective decision-making abilities
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced work environment supporting multiple proposals simultaneously, and meeting tight deadlines including occasional extended hours, evenings/night hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to take assigned project and identify best approach to accomplish objective
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
