Description
The Supervising Management Analyst is an exciting position within the Port Authority's Central Automotive Division. The Central Automotive Division is a dynamic group tasked with procuring, maintaining, and disposing of all agency non-revenue fleet vehicles. The equipment we manage clears snow from airport runways, cleans streets and tunnel walls, and helps ensure the safety and security of our region's most critical transport infrastructure. With over 3,000 assets spread across dozens of facilities, accurate and timely data is key to the success of our operation. We are seeking a candidate with a strong technical background, a track record of solving tough business problems by deploying creative ERP technology solutions and experience leading staff. Success in this role will be defined by an ability to modernize and tightly integrate software systems to improve user experience, maintain data quality, and enable rapid information distribution.
Reporting to the Assistant Manager of the Central Automotive Division, this role will contribute to our mission by:
- Leading and developing a team of two full-time analysts, as well as interns, consultants or other rotational staff as needed;
- Ensuring data integrity within and between the Division's fleet asset management system (FleetFocus M5) and fleet telematics platform (Geotab);
- Engaging with diverse technology system users to document issues, gather requirements, and execute improvement projects;
- Continuously refining and rigorously documenting a set of stored SQL scripts, KPIs and report templates that automate key reporting;
- Collaborating with a Financial Analyst to oversee the automotive chargeback program, fixed asset accounting, and overall Division budget;
- Guiding Central Automotive's broader technology strategy in alignment with company-wide initiatives;
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in the areas of financial management, information technology, business, or related field;
- Experience managing EAM/ERP systems such as AssetWorks FleetFocus M5, IBM Maximo, Infor, SAP, etc.;
- Experience with data integration tools and techniques, such as ETL, data warehousing, API's, etc.;
- Experience processing and interpreting financial data using tools such as SAP, BudgetPro, Crystal Reports etc.;
- Fluent in SQL and Microsoft Office applications;
- Prior experience managing a team, as well as technology contracts and/or consultants.
Desired
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate high-quality analyses to diverse stakeholders;
- Fluent in SQL (Oracle);
- Experience managing IoT devices/web platforms;
- Experience with Microsoft's Power Platform apps, such as Power BI, Power Automate, etc.;
- Proficiency in one or more high level programming languages (e.g., Python or R);
- Prior experience in fleet management, enterprise asset management, or automotive engineering.
