What you will be doing

Under general direction of the Sr Director, Pharmacy & Health System Solutions the Sr Project Coordinator will be responsible for the management of one or more components of the overall project and the execution of detailed project plans as assigned. Assignments may span one or more projects that can range in size, complexity, and cross functional involvement. The Sr Project Coordinator will be responsible for utilizing project management methods and coordinating internal and external resources to ensure project milestones are successfully completed.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Works closely with the Sr Director, Pharmacy & Health System Solutions to assist in the development of project methodologies and manages components of the project and implementation plans as assigned.
• Collaborates effectively with various departments and associates by facilitating projects across AmerisourceBergen businesses.
• Provides timely and concise communications to functional leadership regarding project status.
• Identifies potential risks within assigned projects and proactively manages issues.
• Provides support on projects and assignments, which require commitment from interdepartmental and external resources. Manages and reports on project timelines according to project assignments.
• Manages engagements with external team members including customers and health system related vendors.
• Coordinates activities with the Sr Director and other internal project teams to ensure alignment.
• Responsible for project completion according to project assignments
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Experience and Educational Requirements:
Requires training and experience in fields such as business administration, engineering, accountancy, sales, marketing, logistics, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of five (5) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience leading projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to communicate (and work) effectively with people from different technical and business backgrounds, acting as a liaison, understanding, and appreciating different perspectives and translating into terms necessary for any group or individual to understand.
  • Ability to lead dynamically and energize work teams to learn and apply new skills and techniques to respond to business needs.
  • Good analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully. Strong presentation skills and ability to present and discuss strategies and solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Pharmacy technician background is nice to have but not required
