Sr. Graphic Designer

​​About the Role:

The Senior Graphic Designer for the Studio will help bring our brand to life through digital content execution. You will own and lead all things content design, and collaborate with our amazingly talented team of art directors and motion designers. We are looking for an experienced and versatile Senior Designer to spearhead a wide array of design projects. This role involves leading a dynamic team of freelance designers to create compelling and innovative design solutions across various digital mediums. This position can be remote, however if the candidate lives in the NYC area we will ask that they work a hybrid schedule, with some days at home and some days in person at out Brooklyn, NY studio.

You Will:

• Oversee the design process from start to finish, for a diverse range of projects.
• Lead and mentor a team of freelance designers to ensure quality of work and timely deliverables. All while fostering an environment of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Provide constructive feedback and guide the team towards achieving excellence in all design aspects.
• Advances design execution, elevating the overall quality of execution across the team by showcasing exceptional craft in typography, layout, color, art direction.
• Help define visual style guides and creative briefs to aid other artists, ensuring visual quality, style, and detail throughout.
• Be an empathetic and collaborative cross-functional partner and serve as a point of contact for all things design.
• Guides, inspires, and influences peers and team with exceptional communication, empathy, and ability to establish oneself as a true partner in helping other teams meet objectives and drive the business forward.
• Work with our amazing program manager and line producers to manage designer resources and timelines.
• Regularly assess and refine design processes and workflows to maximize efficiency and ensure the highest quality of work.

You Are:

You are a creative that can flex between both big picture and smaller details, and are proactive and excited to drive the evolution of the Hims & Hers brand. You should feel comfortable partnering with our Art Directors to concept our content team and guide projects through production, fully owning how it comes to life in our digital ecosphere. 

You should feel comfortable designing storyboards, design direction briefs, as well as communicating design direction for digital content. You will collaborate with a talented group of copywriters, producers, 3D and 2D artists, and video editors to make breakthrough creative.

You Have:

• Experience managing designers
• Extensive knowledge Figma and the Adobe Suite
• Excellent knowledge of best practices and current trends in design.
• Experience in design direction for branded content.
• Proven ability to create flexible design system components and take a systems first approach to design tasks. An ability to concept and strategize through the lens of a design system.
• Exceptional design sensibility - design direction, typography, layout and strong understanding of creating beautiful visuals that meet business objectives.
• 8+ years of agency/in-house graphic design experience
