We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Solution & Design Consultant to join our Innovation Center of Excellence for claims and operations at The Hartford. As a Senior Solution & Design Consultant, you will be responsible for driving research and implementation of emerging technology, creating educational materials, and working with organizations across the enterprise to make recommendations for how we can improve our processes and results leveraging emerging technology.
The Innovation Center of Excellence's mission is to drive the adoption of artificial intelligence capabilities into our processes. You will lead the reimagination of our processes and services enabled by AI, design POCs to test available capabilities, and deploy production solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and develop solutions that meet business needs.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading efforts to drive innovation within the Innovation Center of Excellence.
- Design, develop and deploy solutions that demonstrate high performance and efficient in solving complex problems.
- Reimagining processes and services enabled by AI.
- Conducting POCs to test available capabilities.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Developing solutions that meet business needs.
- Communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor junior team members
- Agile Methodology: Serve as part of a development team or potentially a product owner of a Process and Enablement or IT agile team, helping drive focus and delivering on the highest priority business needs and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 Years strategic project/process management experience; involving data science and/or technology assets with significant demonstrated value
- Minimum 5 years of claim/operations, or cross industry experience.
- Experience implementing generative AI/emerging technologies highly desirable.
- Innovation mindset: The candidate should have a passion for innovation and be able to think creatively to solve complex business problems.
- Communication skills: The candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Project management skills: The candidate should have experience in project management and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Analytical skills: The candidate should have strong analytical skills and be able to analyze data to identify trends and patterns.
- Problem-solving skills: The candidate should be able to identify problems and develop creative solutions to solve them.
- Collaboration skills: The candidate should be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Continuous learning: The candidate should have a passion for continuous learning and be willing to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.
- Demonstrated Experience in: solution design, using generative AI to solve business problems, transforming business processes using AI.
- Vendor Evaluation: The candidate should be able to assess and select vendors based on specified criteria, to establish best-in-class vendor portfolio.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$105,920 - $158,880
