About the Role
Are you passionate about creating the platform for earners around the world to thrive? Uber's Earner Progression team invests in earner quality, retention, and loyalty. Each of our earners define success on Uber differently, and we're building a platform that enables earners on the platform to improve their own potential & goals through a more personalized approach! We build with heart for each Earner to drive career progression, long-term retention, and a positive Uber relationship. This role will require a compassionate understanding of earner needs, an economic perspective, and an analytical approach to understanding marketplace & pricing dynamics!
What the candidate will do
- Develop and execute a vision, strategy and roadmap. Be a disciplined and inspiring leader when it comes to where and how various engagement models should be scaled.
- Be a design partner and empathic product leader building Earner-facing UI with a keen understanding of marketplace dynamics.
- Monitor and measure launched products and feed insights back into the product development process.
- Clearly communicate product plans, benefits, and results, as appropriate, to a spectrum of audiences, including internal partners and leadership teams.
- Understand our data and uncover ways to iterate on effectiveness, usage, and quality. Build a plan to grow and scale the existing product through high velocity.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 5+ years of experience as a product manager with a track record of partnering with engineering, design, data science and business functions to deliver successful projects at scale.
- Excellent data analysis skills and data-driven decision-making ability, with a high design bar and a mentality of starting with the customer first and working backwards.
- Experience defining objectives, key results (OKRs) and tracking performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve them while using data to align teams and drive strategic decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working very closely with engineering and data science teams, with an ability to drive technical and analytical discussions.
- Familiarity or background in economics with a true passion for Uber's mission, our products, and the company's hybrid technology/operations nature.
- A "Go Get It" mentality. You are biased toward action, a great collaborator, and constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery with customer empathy - Think about the "why" before the "what".
- A high bar across the board -- from your own contributions, to the people you work with, to the products you work on.
