We're looking for a Quotations Manager to join our Customer Experience Team in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. You'll be responsible for driving profitable growth by managing our quotations team, focusing on lighting and lighting control solutions in the GTA. The right candidate will be a strong leader with a passion for results and a focus on continuous process improvements and efficiency.

What you'll do
  • Lead - Manage a team of inside sales specialists. Perform quarterly team check-ins, employee evaluations, and mandatory training. Interviewing and onboarding of new hires and engaging in peer mentoring initiatives to help build our organizational capabilities.
  • Collaborate - Work cohesively with internal and external customers to achieve both your individual targets and organizational goals. Review projects with the GTA Sales team weekly to discuss upcoming project closings as well as review feedback on past jobs. Communicate directly with local contractors, distributors and specifiers as needed to ensure the products being proposed align to the specifications while providing value added solutions for our customers.
  • Strategize - Evaluate our lighting and lighting control package against our competitors to determine specification strength. Review project specifications and provide value engineered solutions to improve our quotation success rate and drive profitable growth.
  • Execute - Oversee the daily workflow of quotation requests ensuring timeliness and accuracy for GTA Lighting & Controls projects. Coordinate receipt of all required documentation such as engineering specifications, addendums, reflected ceiling plans, riser/one-line diagrams, and site plans for active quote requests. Negotiate all large or complex projects in the GTA, working directly with our sales team and external customers to help secure orders.
  • Develop - Create and implement process improvements within our organization to help improve ease of doing business and reduce touches within our organization. Stay up to date with all Cooper Lighting Solutions products and provide training on lighting, controls, and modular wiring systems for team members.
What you'll need
  • Diploma or Degree from an accredited institution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • Strong technical aptitude with a constant curiosity for learning within a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Ability to lead and be collaborative in a team environment
  • Previous experience with our business systems such as SAP or Bluebeam.
