Vaccination for COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) vaccine requirements are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical, religious, or fully remote exemption.  Requests for exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved exemption is required to start work.

Job Description

We are seeking a per diem Pulmonary Function Technologist. We offer the highest standards of comprehensive cancer care in an environment designed to meet the unique needs of cancer patients and their families. 


You will:
• Perform Pulmonary Function Tests, Sputum Induction and Arterial Puncture accurately, completely, and efficiently as per department guidelines, approved protocols and national standards.
• Review test results and determine the need for additional tests as per department guidelines, approved protocols and national standards.
• Monitor patient flow and coordinate scheduling urgent PFT requests with minimal direction.
• Maintain accurate records and logs and notifies the PFT Lab Manager and/or Medical Staff as indicated per departmental policy.
• May perform special studies and support research as needed.


You have:
Certified Pulmonary Function Technician (CPFT) or Registered Pulmonary Function Technician (RPFT) preferred.
• Experience in bronchial provocation, experience with exercise stress testing utilizing MCG equipment and experience with Morgan Scientific PFT Systems are all preferred.

• BCLS required.

Shifts: 7:30am-5:30pm & 8:30am-6:30pm

Pay Rate: $58.00/hr.
