Fellowship Overview:
This is a 12-month post-graduate accredited training program beginning October 2024 for NPs and PAs who wish to transition into oncology-based care. The fellowship provides support and training during the transition to practice period, allowing fellows to build confidence and knowledge in clinical sub-specialties.
The program is open to newly graduated APPs, as well as those with prior experience as an APP. The fellowship is especially well-suited for those looking to gain specialty exposure to oncology and those eager for an immersive learning experience.
Sub-specialty Tracks:
• Critical Care Medicine
• Geriatric Oncology
• Hematology/Oncology
• Hospice and Palliative Care
• Neurology/Neurosurgery
• Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
• Perioperative and Specialized Care
• Psycho-Oncology
• Solid Tumor Medical Oncology
• Surgical Oncology
General requirements:
- Have current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) licenses or a Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Be graduates of an accredited Nurse Practitioner NP, and/or Physician Assistant PA program in the United States
- BLS, ACLS, DEA and any additional certifications/credentialing requirements
