Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Material Planning Analyst located in Monroe, OH.

Reporting to the Director New Business Operations, the Material Planning Analyst is responsible for maintaining materials/purchasing data, supply data and information to other production departments, coordinate contracts, maintain Certificates of Conformance for all suppliers, and create and maintain outsources parts schedules. Drive and maintain the production schedule according to customer priorities, manage the MRB disposition and execute the RTV. Manage the continues improvement of the supply chain solutions, including ERP parameters to drive supply chain automation process.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Assists in auditing data for accuracy and preparing summary reports, spreadsheets, graphics and charts based on the analysis of data.
  • Prepares summary reports, spreadsheets, and charts based on analysis of data from multiple sources, which may include but will not be limited to customer bills of material reports, staff metrics, PPV metrics, and PPV form tracking.
  • May create, update and/or maintain databases in support of data collection. Audits data. Challenges and resolves data integrity issues, including but not limited to quotations, content list and item master.
  • May support inventory control, supply chain management, material planning and scheduling.
  • Proactively identifies and escalates potential issues related to metrics.
  • Where applicable, suggest process/communication improvements relative to metric tracking activities.
  • Tracks materials financial performance, and initiate corrective actions when required.
  • Daily review of RMA/RTV transactions
  • Create weekly purchase orders including all client parts
  • Receive data entry for clients
  • Window to client material (consigned parts) supply, & bulk RMA service
  • Specialized Job: May be required for certain positions. These could include one or more of the following duties:
  • Develop commodity spend profiles/breaks-downs: lead time profiling, inventory positioning, and site execution to price.
  • Provide detailed bill of materials analysis by site.
  • Perform general reporting and analysis activities for score carding of suppliers.
  • Validate site pricing through implementation of a common cost review and pricing process.
  • Assist in the supply chain transfer and risk management for NPI.
  • Provide PPV targeting, tracking and asset velocity.
  • Design, manage and control all data analysis tools
  • Lead the buy price, LT and lots validation excursive every quarter to update system parameters
  • Review logistics quoting to improve cost and reduce transit lead times
  • Manage the EDI/FSP communication control with vendors
  • Coordinate the VMI effort for the A parts to reduce cost and transit LT.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 /5year of experience in materials or related field.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills required.
  • May program relevant business systems.
  • Excellent customer communications skills.
  • Knowledge of ERP and MRP - Preferrable BAAN 5, Oracle or SAP.
  • Experience with APS - Preferred Rapid Response Kinaxis
  • Comfort with Vendors to obtain product information such as prices, availability, delivery schedule, freight information, etc.
  • Knowledge of Reorder Point Methodology (Preferred).
  • MRP output execution like reschedule and cancel material experience.
  • Excel usage skills
  • Demand Forecast management experience.
  • Production Plan management skills.
  • AP invoices payment management (Preferred)
