We are looking for an experienced, technical and hands-on manager to help lead our next generation Identity Engineering efforts. You will have worked in technical leadership roles in architecting, building and managing identity platforms and have a bias to an engineering the business first approach. You will be responsible for leading a team of high performing engineers in overhauling our approach to identity across our organization. This will start with an assessment of existing tools and processes, followed by an engineering effort to build our next generation identity management platform.
What You Will Do
- Technical Leadership: As a subject matter expert in identity and security you will directly engage in the planning and architecture of our identity management systems.
- Program Leadership: Work with your peers to define quarterly, and yearly goals/roadmaps to ensure that we are keeping pace with technology, threats and risks to the business.
- Collaborate across GitLab teams in Security, IT, Engineering and others.
- Evangelize our solutions both internally and externally.
- Career Management: Help your team grow and achieve their career goals. Mentor and share technical knowledge and past experiences.
What You Will Bring
- A bias towards engineering boring solutions that are automated and secure.
- A sense of ownership and bias to action.
- Hands-on experience in identity engineering.
- Experience in SaaS, multi-cloud environments. Experience with identity management in GCP, AWS, Okta preferred.
- Experience designing and implementing identity management strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
