We are seeking highly analytical Int-Sr Business Systems Analyst who will be responsible for all aspects of the product backlog with an agile team focus leveraging new technologies to modernize systems, while enhancing current systems to meet business needs. The most suitable hire for this position will be a highly analytical candidate with planning, problem solving, mentoring, writing, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with management, peers, technology vendors, and business partners.
A typical day could include:
- Interacting with agile teams and work with them to deliver and support high complexity technology solutions that are high quality, reliable, secure, and stable
- Participating in all agile Ceremonies
- Working collaboratively with cross functional team members and product owners to document business and system requirements, gather user stories, refine the product backlog, and obtain agreement on the purpose, scope, and limitations of proposed solutions designs
- Documenting acceptance criteria and test specifications and managing test assets in Microsoft Azure DevOps
- Collaborating with the team to create payments scenarios for brick-and-mortar and on-line payment processes
- Assist development of design artifacts such as user stories, journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively convey product workflow architecture and user experiences to stakeholders.
- Work closely as the Product Owner with Technical Lead, and IT management; assist agile team members with day-to-day direction and clarification of requirements
- Work with the business customers to gather requirements to populate backlog with Campaigns, Epics, and Features; translate requirements into work items for agile teams
- Coordinate work and reduce dependencies when working on the same product
- Provide support and subject matter expertise on business rules and processes to technical lead, test lead and other team members during all phases of projects
- Document current and proposed business processes and/or business rules
- Collaborate with agile team(s) to ensure requirements, design and desired outcomes are clearly communicated
- Validate completed work meets requirements and is fully tested
- Proactively communicate with management and the team on issues and/or any system changes
- Serve as a product expert on assigned application(s)
- Attend agile events (daily stand-up, iteration planning, backlog refinement, iteration review and sprint retrospectives)
- Work in the development of project plans, management of projects, monitoring project performance, and development of implementation plans
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in business systems analysis
- 3+ years of experience planning, organizing, and managing all activities associated with delivering solutions in a large-scale distributed environment
- 3+ years of experience analyzing problems and translating into solutions
- Strong working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) with the ability to work within the defined roles and responsibilities
- Experience in identifying and supporting process improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience working in an agile/Kanban environment
- 7+ years of business systems analysis experience
- 7+ years of experience in identifying and supporting process improvements
- Experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst with Electronic Funds payment applications
- Experience in identifying and supporting process improvements
- Experience in facilitating agile events and ceremonies
- Experience using Microsoft DevOps to manage agile team backlog and sprints
- Experience with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) for payments solutions

Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
