WHAT YOU'LL DO
Our Personal Productivity Product Portfolio has a vision to 'deliver best-in-class products and experiences, that are performant, stable, trusted and secure, to continuously improve BCGers productivity and delight for our tools.'

The 'Personal Productivity Product Portfolio' includes the following main Product areas -

Windows OS: Manages and maintains all aspects of the current Windows Operating System (OS) used on BCG laptops, as well as developing the OS build and upgrade processes for new versions.
Windows Application Management: Manages Windows Applications, Drivers, BIOS deployment and Monitoring.
Productivity Tools: Maintains and supports Microsoft Office productivity applications.


Windows Hardware and Device Management: Standardizes Windows laptops, accessories, virtual desktops and device management platforms.
Mac: Manages all Mac hardware and software management for BCG
Mobile - Manages BCG trusted iOS or Android mobile devices and BCG managed mobile applications.
Secure Laptop Initiative - Manages and maintains BCG's Laptop Admin Rights Management Platform.
Data and Analytics - Builds and maintains Data Analytics products to support Portfolio Products and initiatives.
The Product Owner must be a leader who is customer-centric and enjoys working with teams to design and deliver exceptional products to customers. You will work with portfolio leadership in the Security Squad to lead product security across Portfolio tools. You and your Squad will be responsible for:

Helping enhance our Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities across the Portfolio including dependencies with other Portfolio products, to ensure our products are 'performant, stable, trusted and secure', all with a positive user experience. The scope will be to support 'Mobile DLP' e.g. iOS (incl. iPad) and Android devices (and apps), as well as 'Endpoint DLP' e.g. Windows Laptops, Mac Laptops and specific software in-scope, as well as Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
Provide governance on our patching strategy and compliance.
Support our Secure Laptops Initiative for the deployment of Endpoint Privilege Management (EPM)
capabilities to Windows and Mac laptop endpoints.
Work with our Data and Analytics team, and leverage our device monitoring / management platforms to deliver continuous observation of all security related products and integrations, in order to validate security protection, manage security tool performance impact all while delivering a suitable User Experience.
Work with all Personal Productivity Product Owners and InfoSec to ensure our products that have a security component are operating in the required way according to diagnostics resulting from Security Product Health Index (SPHI) assessment.
Together with your engineering counterpart, be a primary Point of Contact (POC) when responding to urgent security threats to BCG (e.g. Zero-Day Vulnerabilities) and help drive remediation within required Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
Ensure cross-Portfolio security synchronization by being a single point of contact for all security considerations, driving demand management, prioritization and highlighting dependencies.
Work across the Personal Productivity Portfolio bringing your individual professional and industry knowledge to form a full security point of view for all Portfolio products, to strengthen our overall posture and support successful security outcomes for all products.
Among your responsibilities, you will:

Deliver business results and customer value
Ensure that products are built in an incremental way, releasing new working features at the end of each Squad and creating value for the customer
Track product performance to inform future work
Deliver on specific and measurable KPIs to be defined for your Squad
Manage relevant product budget process and support the Portfolio Lead in engaging with the funding process

Serve as the voice of customer or end-user
Translate the voice and needs of customer into user stories, engaging users as needed
Engage in continuous discovery (e.g., via surveys & interviews) to understand customer needs
Leverage empirical and qualitative data to assess feature performance and inform prioritization
Determine tradeoffs involving customer value, cost, and speed to execution
Represent customer needs to ensure they are understood and integrated into the Squad's work
Proactively seek customer feedback to learn and better understand their needs and requirements
Facilitate product demos to empower Squad members with real-time feedback from customers

Oversee what is delivered by the Squad and when
Prioritize work through a well-organized backlog of user stories and clearly communicate what needs to be done and by when
Define and clearly communicate acceptance criteria for output based on business & customer needs

Support and enable the Squad to get its work done
Regularly engage with the Squad to offer feedback on work-in-progress and clarify requirements
Engage with Chapter Leads regarding resourcing and functional expertise required in Squad
Provide feedback as part of performance management of Squad members and other members of the Portfolio

Set an overall vision to direct and inform the Squad's work
Work closely with the Portfolio Lead to understand and drive alignment on the Portfolio's business strategy, goals, and objectives
Translate Portfolio objectives into a clear vision (e.g., via KPIs, sprint goals) for your Squad to inform the creation and prioritization of the Squad's backlog of work
Share information about the Squad's output and priorities with other Product Owners to ensure alignment across the organization

Enable the organization's new way of working
Model behaviors to support the organization's transformation to a new way of working
Actively create and maintain a Squad culture based on the organization and Agile behaviors
Provide informal and formal feedback within context of larger performance management system

YOU'RE GOOD AT

Lead a diverse, cross-functional team tasked with complex product goals, without line-management authority
Collaborate effectively with Portfolio leadership, communicating to achieve alignment with other Product Owners, Portfolio Leads, and Technical Area Leads
In-depth knowledge of functional and/or product area, strong grasp of relevant market trends and competitive dynamics, strong understanding of customer and user needs, and working understanding of relevant technical and engineering concepts used by Squad members, working understanding of how budgets and funding processes impact Squad's work
Articulate outcomes using Objectives and Key Results (OKR's) and delivering those outcomes in an incremental fashion
Contribute knowledge in product area across the Portfolio where needed
Understand how Squad priorities and output impact Portfolio and enterprise success
Use hard and soft data to inform decision making and analysis
Make difficult trade-offs with near-term implications in the absence of clear direction and complete information
Anticipate customer, user, and stakeholder needs to develop product vision
Create structure out of ambiguity, synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data to 'connect the dots' within area of scope
Leverage business judgement to drive progress toward solutions to complex problems
Interface with business stakeholders (outside Portfolio) and customers as needed to achieve alignment and surface impediments to drive business outcomes
Communicate information effectively with people from varying backgrounds
Manage Squad dynamics and motivate Squad members under most circumstances; without line management authority
Shape and inform product strategy with Portfolio leadership
Own priorities, timeline, resourcing, and output for key product goals with some guidance
Set, drive, and own Squad goals with significant impact on Portfolio business results
Communicate, execute, and shape product vision to drive Squad prioritization
Role model new ways of working

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

At least 7+ years' relevant experience, including a proven track record as Product Owner,
Understanding of Agile principles and ways of working
Good understanding of technology enabled business transformation, Digital transformation, Organizational transformation, delivering enterprise-level IT and Digital projects
Customer-focused solutions and dedication to understanding and learning about customer needs and requirements
Operate with a transparency mindset, communicating clearly and openly
Comfortable leading, directing, and empowering team members without formal management authority
Able to work with ambiguous requirements and multi-disciplinary teams
Able to influence stakeholders up to the senior levels of the organization
Bring a data-driven approach to decision making, both in day-to-day management and in making strategic trade-offs
Look for opportunities to innovate and get things done better and faster
Experience in consulting is a plus

Every member of your Squad, for which you will be its servant leader
Internal customers, translating their voice and needs into user stories and engaging users as needed
