The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Th is is a range posting (Compliance Analyst I/II) and level will be determined by the Hiring Manager based on experience. This position may have some in-office requirements based on candidate location.

In this fast-paced environment as a Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for regulatory change identification and communication to the Product org and engagement with external regulators via complaint investigation and data calls. You will provide expert compliance consultation, superior analysis, and project management support to our business and compliance partners across the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Researches and develops responses to external regulatory requests including complaints, inquiries and/or investigations from Departments of Insurance, Regulatory Agencies, customers and other interested parties.
  • Triages and develops impact assessments for regulatory or statutory changes in assigned region. Owns communication of legislative changes and/or direction to impacted stakeholder groups including issuing organizational bulletins and documenting key action items to support ongoing, effective risk mitigation.
  • Facilitates Data Calls by identifying and communicating data requirements to ensure timely and accurate responses are provided to regulators - may include direct engagement with regulatory examiners.
  • Partners with stakeholders across the organization ? including, but not limited to teams across Product Management, Actuarial, Risk & Economics, Data Science, Finance, and Experience as well as Global Compliance & Ethics ? to provide timely and accurate responses to customers and regulators.
  • Shares observed trends in regulatory topics, risk and mitigation strategies with stakeholders and process owners across Product and Compliance stakeholder communities.
  • With some manager oversight, takes ownership of low to moderate complexity compliance projects.
  • Monitors tasks and timelines, evaluates risks, provides recommendations, defines measures of success, develops and coordinates solutions.

  • Attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills; must be able to effectively summarize and prioritize topics.
  • Passion for problem solving.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative subject (example: Mathematics, Finance, Economics) or Legal/Political Science/Insurance and experience with quantitative analysis preferred
  • Approx. 1-2 years related work experience required
  • Knowledge of insurance principles and concepts required
  • Advanced analytical/problem solving and research skills
  • Effective communication skills for writing reports/proposals and making presentations
