Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in virtualization or cloud native architectures in a customer-facing role.
  • 10 years of experience designing architectural solutions and recommending operational practices.
  • Experience performing technical presentations or public speaking.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience advising or directly driving efforts involving organizational change.
  • Experience with design patterns and migration strategies with common cultural, operational, architectural, and technical challenges.
  • Experience with cloud-based networking, security, infrastructure, and databases.
  • Experience with data platform structures and approaches, AI/ML techniques, and the relationship between the two.
  • Experience with development, deployment, and operational methodologies (e.g., coding, CI/CD, Terraform, GitOps, Development Operations, Site Reliability Engineer etc.).

As a Cloud Transformation Technical Lead, you'll drive the roadmap, mission, and strategy around transformation and innovation. You'll meet with customers to map their business objectives with technical/organizational patterns establishing an architectural and operational blueprint as the foundation for migration for growth on Google Cloud. You will collaborate with partners and internal teams to align Google solutions, services, and resources to drive customer partnership and success.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $154,000-$236,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop trust with strategic customers by aligning with them in addressing their key business, operational, and technical challenges, and contribute to building solutions and use case specific assets.
  • Coordinate collaborative sessions and workshops to assess existing applications, data platforms, infrastructure, security, networking, IT processes, and organizational structure in order to respond to request for information/request for proposals.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and recommend a phased approach toward an end state architecture that will deliver business value.
  • Partner, collaborate, and align with other transformation-focused teams while ensuring that technical and operational goals are met.
  • Travel to customer sites and events up to 40% of the time.
