Manages diverse administrative functions usually for a very large, complex department or business unit. Functions managed may include: financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, and coordination of certain projects, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication. May consult with senior management to define and manage projects that encompass and impact many associates. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business unit's functional area or products. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices. May have full management responsibility over a team or may manage one level of managers.

This Business Support Manager role supports Enterprise Transaction Services (ETS) shared support functions. This role will mainly focus on the organizations learning needs and will be a proxy for the Global Operations Learning Council, supporting Enterprise Transaction Services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the governance of the learning plan within the ETS lines of business
  • Work with LOB Business Support Managers for learning course audience identification and submission to the Global Operations Council
  • Communicate course completion tracking and manage to 100% on time completion
  • Attend regularly scheduled Global Operations Learning Council meetings for updates and assignments
  • Prepare presentation materials, take notes, track activities, and problem solve

Although the main function of this role will be learning related, additional business support will be required. This may include consolidation of data from multiple business units/contacts or representing Enterprise Transaction Services in various Global Operations forums. Examples include business continuity, site strategy, executive meeting presentations, etc.

Required Skills:

  • Must have proficiency with Excel (including pivot tables, LOOKUPs, and other formulas), PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Analytical: Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, research and reconcile variances, work with numbers to tell a story, and present data in a clear and logical manner, tailored to audiences with varying levels of seniority and background
  • Organized: strong attention to detail with ability to manage and prioritize deliverables
  • Communication: verbal and written via instant messenger, e-mail, video conference, and phone. The role requires you to comfortably and confidently communicate with stakeholders from Operations Executives, Operations line managers, peer Operations organizations and other orgs such as Finance, HR, and Talent Acquisition
